Unlike Dennis I have been with Kiepe Electric and its predecessors since January 1990. I originally trained as an apprentice draughtsman in the defense industry before joining Kiepe Electric (something of a rail industry virgin!) as an Assistant Project Manager on the Class 323 EMU design & build. Over the last 25 years I have been involved in a variety of large and complex projects and undertaken a wide array of roles from Project Manager to Operations Director as well more latterly the role of Senior Project Manager for a project worth circa £39 million pounds for the business. It’s quite a responsibility but at the same time exhilarating as in my role I really effect change and make things happen, which is a great feeling!
Right from my earliest days with the business it has been a fabulous place to work. The people here are genuinely enthusiastic about the industry in which we work. Everyone takes great pride in what we do and the manner in which we do it. I have always felt that my input is valued. When there’s a problem we discuss things, agree what course of action to take, get on and solve it. Working for a small company means you’re noticed. You’re not just a number. You have a definite role to play!
Kiepe Electric UK has always been a “can do” business” and that culture of “we will deliver” remains with us today.
